Stupid blogspot uploading function is down again..so resorted to using picasa to blog -_-

OK to continue, we had okonomiyaki, pancake like stuff. Very filling >.<

Beancurd with cheese

Didn't really like this, i preferred sakae's garlic rice to this though..

Generally the food tastes not bad, but on the expensive side. So I guess I won't be coming back that soon.

Was recommended by GH to visit Nanjya Monjya for great Japanese Food. Not too sure if we are at the right branch though, cos it seems the original one was opened by 3 japanese sisters..who were models in their earlier years..
But I didnt see any -.-''

The ambience was ok..there was teppanyaki seats as well, something like Gyu Kaku

Lots of bottles on the shelves..all belonging to customers

Kimichi Stir Fry Pork *YUMMY* In fact, this is my favourite dish for this place.

Sentosa Outing (20/01/08)

Monday, March 03, 2008 Posted by YY on 8:27 PM comments (0)

One month ago, I logged on Staff Services and booked myself a staff pass for complimentary entry to Sentosa and discounts for rides.Woke up not really that bright and early lol~ and went to K's favourite chicken feet hor fun stall located @ Stirling Road area, enclosed by HDB blocks.

By the time I took this pic, i had taken slurps of the hor fun already XDD Its great stuff, there's ginseng roots inside the gravy! And most of all, the chicken feet is almost near to the melt in your mouth texture~ slurrp~

Went to Vivo after the satisfying lunch, free entry WEE~

Dropped off at Siloso Beach Station, and we started queueing for this thing called LUGE. Something like go karting but its not so far la..So to take the luge ride, you have to go take this sky ride to the top of the hill, from there you chiong down.

Took sky ride + luge combo for $5 per person, yay staff discount ROX!!

Overview of the Sky Ride

Going up up and away~

O wow, the sky is getting dark >.<

Woot! This far from the ground..i imagine falling down and smack right into the tarmac floor..>.>''

Nearing the peak of the ride

See the 2 black things hanging on the chair? Thats the luge we are riding later..ingenious idea of having tourists go uphill, at the same time bring the luges up.

After we got down, and took our helmets, and starting queueing AGAIN~ -_- See the luges arriving..

LUGE!! Over in less than 10mins from top of hill to bottom..eeee~

Wanted to go home liaoz, cos there's nuttin to see in Sentosa. Then this K wanted to visit CineBlast..so we walked a LONG LONG LONG way with lotsa 冤枉路 and finally arrived here..so expensive -_-' $16 per person.

Dam bored to take this..and worse is..I have motion sickness!! Wanted to puke after that..

Just like this merlion..puke...-_-

Posing for a 'monster' pic..passing by tourists must have of us as Chinese Nationals -.-'

After this it started drizzling, and we headed back to Vivocity. Just two tourists attraction visited..K was ranting its not enough, but but but..there's nothing to see!

Cooking Expedition: Black Pepper Crab

Sunday, March 02, 2008 Posted by YY on 12:05 AM comments (0)

Decided to try out this new recipe published in U Magazine on Black Pepper crab.

Went all the way to Shop and Save and bought two crabs...strong and ferocious when they were loaded into red pail with some water.
Now, to start killing the crab..stab it in the pointed flap shown below. Its expected to die in a jiffy.

But freak, this crab did not die after 10mins..neither did his friend who's dying together with him!!

Crab 1

Crab 2

After some freaking long time ..while I squirmed away when all these murderous acts were taking place..they finally died --!

Washing the insides..EWwww!

Mess of bodies, hands, legs..did someone say toes?

Can't be having only crabs, so we had Nai Bai as well on the menu

1. Start frying crabs, firstly put in butter..let it melt

2. Put in pre-cooked grounded black pepper + white pepper(takes long time to fry this thing, and it basically turns the whole hse smoky..pungent peppery stuff)

3. Dump the crabbies in

4. Fry for about 8mins or so..depending on size of your crabs

5. Viola~ Its done! Never knew how those chefs arrange the hands and legs so nicely..we have major problems reassembling their body parts -.-' Prolly I duno their anatomy that well

Nai Bai with garlic

Overall rating:

Taste: Too spicy to combine white pepper and black pepper.Abit undercook..maybe 8-10mins will be better -> 6.5/10
